I was farming a planet for resources when I decided to use the /change_sector command to return to the ship my friend and I were building. Upon doing this the game immediately crashed. This happens very very often but what makes this instance peculiar is what happened next. According to my friend my ship came hurtling into the sector at an incredible speed so fast in fact it actually left the sector it had just entered. He followed it and managed to locate it for me. When I logged on I was transported to the sector I had tried to get to, namely sector 1 2 3. But here is where it really gets weird.
The ship my friend had followed was not my ship, it was registered as a mob but was clearly a derelict, not to mention it was one of his earlier designs. My ship effectively transformed into this one. The report tool is not working for me, nor was I given a pop-up with a crash error when it happened so I have no technical information to give I'm afraid.
But long story short:
Tried to warp
Was ejected from ship during the transition and crashed
Ship blasted away in a completely different form.
