the new update

ok alot of people are having trouble with the newest update since the v9 launcher dosnt seem to work for updating at the moment

however you can always manually update which goes as follows (these instructions assume you are using windows 7)

download the newest version of the launcher (currently v9) from here http://star-made.org/download

then download the manual update pack from here http://files.star-made.org/build/ it will be the last one on the list
(currently 25 jun)

the zip should be around 55mb in size anyway once open locate your starmade folder

-WARNING BACK YOUR STARMADE FOLDER UP- this method should not overwrite your save or anything useful so no worrys there but i will not be held responsible for people loosing everything by doin' it wrong

once located drag and drop all the files from the zip into the starmade folder you will then be asked if you want to merge folders click yes and then it will ask if you want to replace files click move and replace

once all the files are replaced open the v9 launcher IT ABSOLUTELY MUST BE THE V9 LAUNCHER

if everything has gone to plan it should work perfect if not i suggest you run through the instructions again

i dont know anything that has been changed i havent had time to mess about with it but im sure there is a thread somwhere in the forums discussing changes

I\'m trying this way of updating now. Won\'t know if it works for a while since its been doing it for 10 minutes now and has a 0% progress bar.
