[Helkan Imperium]

We hereby announce the creation of Helkan Imperium, a faction composed of members of three and one that will rule the galactic waves. We are finally, after one and a half months of delicate planning, ready to open recruitment and formally declare our existence.

The Helkan Imperium is the result of the merger between the Arstotzkan Remnants and the former Tartaran Empire, with other notable individuals such as TwoNiner joining in. As such, we boast a roster filled to the brim with capable people who will guide the faction to glory and greatness. The Helkan Imperium's strength is in its active and competent members and the ships that are flown by them, which are as bjuutiful as they are dangerous.
We are currently based on Shattered Skies, the supreme rulers and sole conquerors of which we are. We welcome anyone who thinks they can beat us to try - we dunk harder than dunkin' donuts. Our philosophy is to turn words into actions without excessive forumwhoring, and thus those who oppose us might find a fleet at their doorstep, guns blazing.

We use multiple channels of communication: SMDock, Skype, TS, and ingame chat. This ensures effective and coordinated organization, the lack of which has felled many a faction before.

[Helkan Imperium]

Tonight, The Helkan Imperium had its first taste of fleet combat as an admin on SS and a couple of other brave players accepted the challenge to meet us on a battlefield. SS is scheduled to reset tomorrow and thus we decided to say farewell to the old universe with a bang, taking whatever ships were readily stored at the old station with us to battle. Chickn_wildstyle, Gilga-Mesh and MrFuz clashed with Planr, FrankRa, Taserauser, Chevalleis, Dolovo and Solitaire in an isolated and locked sector from which the only way out was victory or death.
The battle lasted well over one and a half hours, with both sides dealing massive blows to each other. However, due to expert fleet coordination, and despite numerous technical difficulties such as disconnects and bugs, the Helkan Imperium eventually prevailed, destroying four ships and suffering zero casualties. The fight culminated in the destruction of Chickn's 175k mass ship, which took an hour and almost resulted in the destruction of several of ours. We salute our opponents and their bravery, and wish them a merry trip with the Valkyries.

Yeah honestly faction drama becomes a non-issue when you just do everything in-game and only post essential faction news updates on SMD.
