The mark is not at 2.5 BIll but at 2 Bill, max 2.14B to be exact.

The thing is that 400-500 mill of something (shield or power output ammount) is already too much for the official server and low end PCs (single or dual core).
Every contact between a power block with another generates a bit of math to calculate the box size, numbers and positions of the blocks, then the power output and such, and if you use a huge chunk of these blocks on a ship, that\'s a lot of math :D

There is no offense, I just stated how that structure will stress the server\'s rig and/or yours when having it on your screen, and how the special blocks which are groupable work, differently from normal blocks, for your information.

Having 5 planets in the same sector won\'t make issues since there are only normal blocks there, nothing that needs to do math for every block and calculate a total of effects of each block of the entire group , on the full structure/ship. Having a planet size object made out of energy blocks already goes off the charts. I did this in the past, and tested this part of the game :D At first, the object had to fully load, then after a while it spends for the energy/shield/engine/accumulative blocks math, the energy bar appears, and shields numbers arrive to full ammount.

That process of making the math on accumulative blocks with effects, can delay the appearance of the energy bar and other numbers for a minute, two, or several more minutes on lower rigs even up to hitting the max RAM load and overload a server/your own PC, to the point of not responding, or just 1 frame per second.
So this may also be the reason you lag when you are on the server now, and with more players, probably overloading it, since you are not the only one building big things.

Just do NOT collide huge things (over 10-50k mass ships) with planets or such, the ammount of math from that will kill the official server, the bigger, the worse.
