Teleportation Mechanic suggestions

Do you think short range Teleportation would be a good feature to add to the game?

IMO teleportation should be player-only, within-sector-only, and transport pad to transport pad. Otherwise it just feels kinda.... OP.

Probably it should require more blocks/energy the bigger your inventory? then you can use a big inventory to jam transports on you + would add balance for block transportation :)

I think this is a good idea. maybe a way to protect against spam would be to have a badge or beacon that if you right click with it will give you a menu giving you the option to teleport back to your ship or not and make it so ship transporters can only teleport down to the surface of a planet/ in the ship or station/ to another ship or station/ into space but not back. Then make it so you have to stand on the teleporter pad to be beamed out. This seems to take away spam. Maybe you could also have a limited amount of out of faction teleporting which could be changed in the config.

OP?! HOW!? What?! OP is pretty much ANY missile fired from a big ship to a little ship. NOTHING LEFT. This would do no damage. It would help you cover the vast amounts of empty space in a more plausible fashion than pushing up or down to switch turrets or ships. There's currently about 60 ways to get completely trapped somewhere where not even digging or trying to build a pocket ship will get you out. Teleporters might help?

Again, I don't know why everyone is so concerned about spam. It's a NON ISSUE!
A simple check-mark in the corner of the window will disallow any requests from person X, and that's just one of many many ways of doing it. And it's not like they can teleport you from anywhere, they LITERALLY have to find you first. You're more likely to be annoyed by someone ramming your ship in sector 128,-57,-205

As for Incap, If you don't like em, don't use em. simple.

On a side note, wouldn't it be hilarious if every time you use a teleporter, the server reports your death?

Had another interesting idea. I use a ship from StarGate called the Daedalus. It was a common thing in the Atlantis series to go up against wraith hive ships and beam nukes aboard. If you could build a ship small enough, maybe with just some logic and a bunch of disintegrators, and a teleport big enough to send it, you could use it as a weapon vs. other capital ships. (with the disadvantage of not being able to beam it INSIDE. There's also the risk that if you don't get the timing right, it would blow up in your ship, or wouldn't blow up fast enough to damage their ship.
