    Yea, simple suggestion here, I was working with building an Enterprise and I realized that there are no tan hull blocks. There's yellow, there's' orange, but no inbetween.

    I for one, would really appreciate a beige hull so I could nail that vintage TNG bridge design.

    Might have to stick with brown. I'm surprised this is rejected though. We got Pink, Teal, and Dark Grey recently, I thought maybe Tan would be on the way eventually. Can't really blame them though, gotta save dem' block IDs.

    Its really unfortunate to hear this. I think we could've at least lightened Brown hull to a beige. Very disapointed in this decision, which seems like a senseless denial of a potentially very useful building material to me.

    rejected ? we got dark grey, pink and teal (seriously who asked for this one ?) but not tan/beige. I'm really disappointed in that decision.

    Would be nice to at least hear the reasoning behind why this was rejected right away.
    The recent stance seemed to have been "more block IDs are not too much of a problem", so I doubt that alone would be reason enough. Aside from some people's fecal fixations, I don't think tan is any less valid or desirable than say, pink or teal, and at least in my view, a lot more versatile than either of those.

    I don't know who asked for teal, but I thank them because teal lights are quite possibly my new favorite lighting, right alongside red. I was shocked at dark grey being a thing, but again I've really come to love it especially in conjunction with regular grey.

    While I can't say I'm super excited about the idea of beige hull it does seem like a shame to see it rejected outright.

    I have to agree, that was surprisingly fast. I can only think maybe they want to prevent a slipperyslope kind of thing where next thing we know people are asking for lime green, violet, dark red, and such, but we recently got teal and I'm loving it thoroughly, and beige is a color I like even more. Brown is... just not the same.

    I must say, I imagine that this decision would not have invoked such fervor had the devs cared to actually explain their decision, it is probably due to concerns of IDs, and the idea of having to add new hulls for bloody every colour under the sun. However, all they had to do was to explain that.

    I understand the devs decision, at this point, they probably have a policy of denying all hull colour suggestions.

    I see no reason why not. kupu if it was you don't reject things like that without providing a reason; if it was a council member or something... well, same thing.

    It just seems strange to leave out such a useful color. We have a plethora of other hulls but something that could really be quite useful is rejected? I think that itd be helpful to at least know why, because it seems like such a bizarre descision.

    I mean at the very least it would be nice to have Brown hull. Changed to beige like how grey hull is much lighter compared to standard and advanced. Beige hull is something that would be awesome to have.

    All rejections should have an explanation ideally, to avoid duplucated threads or parts of the initially rejected idea being re-hashed.

    For those asking directly, I've not had a hand in the recent mis used rejections or planned tags to visual suggestions.

    I'm currently away from my desk. Perhaps CIR Criss could elaborate on recent tags for you all.

    reading this thread now,I see quite a lot of people dont use light brown hull :/ ,its pretty much close to this (dont kill me if wrong,I might be going blind :D )
    there..but also imagine this guys. how many more IDs would this be:
    -> +5 (cube,wedge,tetra,penta,corners) for standard
    -> +5 more for normal
    -> +5 more for hardened
    -> +5 more for crystal
    -> +20 more for slabs for all the above categories
    -> lights

    It's way too far off to effectively serve as a beige, that was the first thing I thought to use. I'm assuming it's something like what you said where they dont want to add a billion more blocks, but yea, just replace the unused Brown hull and make it beige in color. Now Brown hull can be extremely useful, ane we can have a much needed block. That would be the most sensible. I agree that implementing a billion beige blocks would be silly, but one way or another beige is a color that Is notably absent (and in community demand), and could easily be included via a texture replacement of Brown hull.

    maybe we (kupu :P ) can tweak the brown light hull and brown standard hull to be a bit closer to "beige",and leave the hardened one as it is

    It works out to 24-26 more IDs being used. Seems worth it, to me.

    No. Brown is good as it is, and it's its own thing. If we wanted brown changed we'd ask for brown to be changed, but it has its own uses so no.

    I think that that'd definitely be a great solution. I don't think it'd be innacurate to say that Brown hull is underused currently (it's color just isn't significantly different from advanced and standard to warrant use). A beige color (like how grey hull is notably lighter than advanced and standard), would make it incredibly useful. I personally, always use grey hull because of its unique light color, and I think that Brown hull could have really benefit from a change like this.
