    My English isnt that well so i post 2 Version a German one and a English one

    In starmade are all block of one kind together in a group which give u stats(e.g. energy regeneration from power blocks). My idea is, if lets say 20% of a group is destroyed the whole group gets useless and gives you ship no bonus. So if 20% of the energy blocks of a group are destroyed the whole group gives u no bonus.

    What happens is that its going to be dangerous building only big group rather than more smaller ones
    --> advanced ship design

    In addition there are more strategic ways than only "coredrilling"

    In Starmade sind alle Blöcke derselben art zu einer Gruppe zusammengeschlossen, die dann entsprechende Stats geben (z. B. Energieregeneration, oder dps bei amcs). Meine Idee ist, dass wenn sagen wir mal 20% der Blöcke einer Gruppe zerstört sind, die gesamte Gruppe nicht mehr funktioniert. Dass heißt wenn also 20% meiner Energiegruppe zerstört ist hört die gesamte Gruppe auf Energie zu liefern.

    Die Folge wäre dann das es gefährlich wäre einen Riesigen Energieblock zu bauen anstatt mehrerer kleinerer da das schiff plötzlich ohne Energie dastehen könnte
    --> Mehr Schiffsdesign

    Zudem führt das zu neuen Schiffs spezifischen Taktiken die nur angewandt werden können, wenn man die Schwachpunkte kennt (nur eine Schildgruppe zb. zum beschießen)
    -->Mehr Taktik, Mehr Informationsbeschaffung (Spionage/RP?)

    Pro:
    -Förderung von Design
    -Mehr taktik

    Con:
    mir fällt nichts ein :eek:

    PS: ich weis mit diesem System kann ein Schiff leicht nutzlos werden wenn mal die Schilde unten sind, aber seien wir ehrlich wenn einmal die Schilde weg sind muss man das Schiff fast grundsätzlich verschrotten, da es mehr Aufwand ist zu reparieren(Reperatursystem pls.) als neu zu bauen/kaufen

    this won't get rid of "coredrilling", and it also won't really make ship design more complex / advanced, as it's simply just making smaller groups as you said, which isn't exactly rocket science.

    PS: I know this system, a ship can easily be useless if even the shields are down, but let's face once the shields are gone you have to scrap the ship almost always because it is more effort to repair (repair system pls.) as a re-build / buy

    I like it. I have suggested something alike ago.

    Core-drilling is a separate issue.
    If burst-fire blocks or burst-fire weapons get more weight, it may be easier to kill something right below the hull than to drill to a core while the armour rotates.

    Turrets have their core at the very bottom! And turn their longest axis like a shield into your direction.

    Guys, in the Q & A, it is planned that when a ship docks to a space dock or some special station, a ship will have a certain amount of HP, then after that if the ship gets shot so it looses a certain amount of blocks it will explode.

    I don't think it will prevent core drilling because shooting straight for the core will always be faster.
