For some reason, whenever I make a ship over about 96-112m in length, width or height, the respective symmetry plane just stops working. After about 10-15 minutes it works again, but only for another 60-70m. This is a big problem when building big ships, at least for me. Any and all help is appreciated, thanks.

What you are running into is the bounding box not resizing properly when adding to that side.

What I do is just make a long line in that direction (along each axis) which will increase the bounding box (you should see the axis color increase).



Then delete those lines and do your regular build design
