switching docks (permission denied)

So I have an entity with two rail dockers, and I'm trying to get it to undock from my ship and dock to the station. I've set up the station so that there is a rail waiting for it, and I dock the ship, unattach and move the ship away. But, instead of docking to the station at the end of the five second wait, it throws an error "Cannot dock, permission denied."

It will dock if I fly it manually next to the rail on the station. Anybody know a work around?

Faction permission module next to the rail on the station you're trying to dock to? sounds like it's missing one.
