swarm drones?

What if we had swarm drones, swarm computers, and swarm targeting beams?

1 computer could support 2-5 (dev's choice) swarm drones, and one targeting beam.

ships marked with the beam would be attacked by disposable (1 use) swarm drones, drawn from a dedicated storage device?

open to balance ideas.

The main problem I can see, is that you could have a drone dedicated ship,[which is comprised of hundreds of drone computers, beams and storage boxes] which would allow you to lag out the server or just cause massive greifing. i myself have honetly thought about this idea alot but the fact is, DRONES = BAD

My idea on drones is that you could hook up docks to a drone computer and so when you release the drones they will attack enemy ships until you reactivate the computer, calling them back to their docks. This would allow for people to create their own drones and also it would prevent an unlimited number of drones being used.

This would be the best way of doing drones. The main problem currently is the fact that you have to go clean up your mess after a battle.
