I suggest shield supply beams and other support beams but salvage beams have automatic lock-on.
If the beam is a supply beam then it only fires at allied entities and if it is a drain beam then it only fires at enemies entities.
This would make supply ships better.
Also the support beams can only hit ship within 180degrees of the output front also it targets the closest allied entity or enemy.
The support weapons get automatic lock-on when there is a lock-on effect. Now i have to suggest the lock-on effect suggestion.

- missile it becomes a heat seeking missile
- cannon it becomes a heat seeking cannon
- beam it becomes a lock-on beam the above paragraph
- pulsar it only effect enemies entities
- supply and drain beams has automatic lock-on
- salvage it locks onto ores and shards.
