Sugestions For Controlling AI Fighters

    I would like to hear everyones ideas on how they think AI fighters should be controlled (deploying them, retrieving them, telling them what to attack, etc.) When people have shown there opionoins I will make a poll with everyones sugestions and see what the comunity thinks is the best.

    autonomous/large scale fleet control

    and

    Wireless individual ship control

    I want both

    For wireless control: Issue commands to the group
    Option 1: Attack (disabled for allies): Attack whatever ship you currently have selected.
    Option 2: Escort (disabled for enemies): Attack anything that attacks that ship. Intercept missiles. Prioritize closest objects. Keep close to it.
    Option 3: Patrol: Maintain constant distance from the entity, attack that gets within weapons range. Pursue if they approach the entity.
    Option 4: Recall: Return to the docking module you took off from.

    Remote control: I guess this would be like flying the ship, except there would be a slight artificial lag, but you wouldn't have to respawn or lose any credits if you get shot down.
