Suddenly can't play on any server due to EOFException

Today whenever I try and go on any server I get EOFException every single time. One server I tried seemed to work for a minute, then the game crashed, and now I am getting that error when trying to rejoin there.

I've tried servers with the latest version as well as 943, can't fathom why this would be specific to me as it was fine yesterday, have two different installs of the game, too, and neither work.

Same here. ( EOFException Error ) I cant join annything with my uppdated version.

I have an older version that works with an older server version.

Ah right. This is completely bizarre; kind of feels like the game has decided it just doesn\'t like me any more.

Can you play offline? I can do that with the new one. but not joining a server

Yeah offline works no problem. Nothing has changed in the 8 hours or so since I last played it online either.

This has happened to me too! I keep hitting an error message that reads:

\"SocketException: Address family not suported by protocol family: Connect\"

Is this the same thing you\'re encountering, or is it different to my problem?

It sounds different but it might be a symptom of the same thing. Is this just with one server or all?

just go three builds back the build before chin docking will probly work right now i thinnk it is cause of servers beinf down can\'t join them single player works fine. it could be because you not using the right build for the server also. 2 days ago I could not join the public test server yesterday I could and now again today I can\'t... which makes me think the problem is on the server end it\'s self. I send an error report and linked this thread to it for schema to check out when he can

However it was working fine last night and finding a solution is more important.

Edit: it does appear that I can play on servers that I\'ve never played on before, it remains to be seen if I can leave and then rejoin them alright though.
