if you think about it for a minute using a ship core instead of a SSC(space station core) whould be so much better. The station whould be a mobile a** kicking machine! all the repair, firepower, ships and comforts of the faction base going out to every engagement! it whould be so cool. It would win most wars and it whould be a lot cheaper too.

Space Stations don\'t have cores. They\'re immobile entities, like asteroids and planets.

that the home base space station and all docked units, including turrets, are invicible.

They can\'t be completely destroyed just by shooting said core. So even non-faction-homes with a suitable array of turrets don\'t offer an easy way of taking them down quickly.
