It was stated and implied that smaller ships won't have the same complexity in their reactors, they'd need just the reactor core and not have to worry about coolant chambers and conduits. And it's very likely that the amount of room needed for the reactor core is LESS than the amount of room taken up by power generator and power recharger lines. The concerns aren't that it will interfere with what we are doing. As much as it is to do with we don't know when its gonna change, no specific timeline was given it could be weeks, or months. and saying OH your making it out to be worse than it is, is not helping. I'm not setting a deadline because things are chaotic and unknown. till they say something specific we will react accordingly.
so I'm keeping it open for participants to at least prepare for the eventual changes. for the time being we are gonna continue as originally planed.
Well, if you make a 7x7x7 ship, how many power blocks do you put in? As I said in the bit you quoted, fighters will only have to use a reactor core. Nothing said about needing a "core room". If you can build that 7x7x7 ship with the same power taking up less blocks, are you going to be happy or upset? Is going to be funny try to make a 7x7x7 ship with a "decent" cockpit and a "reactor core room" + the other stuff without looking like a <put here a word that makes perma ban> cube.
Gasboy can you tell me what is the minimun ship size you use?
Okay, but again, we will get more power out of less blocks and space. Do you think this is a bad thing? You seem to have avoided the question the last time.35x30x15 size? that explain why you have no problem with the energy system change because you have the space to make a "room" and your ship shape is going to get improved stats.
Oh, so sorry I didn't build my ships perfectly to your exacting specifications. Maybe you could come and play my other games for me too, yeah?Sincerely after probably more than 3 years in the Starmade, do not you really know how to place the power reactors correctly? Or i am losing something about waste space on that way?
Schine stated succintly that smaller ships could have up to 50% fewer power blocks. It's right there in their proposal. They are going to aim to reduce the amount of blocks needed for power. Maybe they won't get it bang on, but we have every reason to believe they're going to try.Same question same answer, if you can not understand me please say it ill try explain it better: Until Schine release a DEvbuild to play with that a little we only can do assumptions. I do not think Schine is goign to change only the "power mechanics", you are assuming that we will have more space for shields etc etc, when they are probably modified too.
Okey thx for that ill pimp that Halberd i think can get a lot more juice from redoing that power systems.
Breaking new! you want to change the energy mechanics to have more space when with the current energy mechanics you are wasting space doing the capacitor stuff on a wrong way. Using the most efficient way is not something that only belongs to me, now you can take my words as an insult or try to learn what you did wrong to improve it and be a little better builder.
I can change my mind about things that I built. You know what, don't bother putting it on the dock. You can do what you want for personal use, but no, you cannot put it on the dock.Since you told me first i can do whatever i want i am going to pimp that halberd and uploading at the dock, of course all TM stuff original or whatever you want to call it is going to have your name, i think is the best point to show how people that want a power change is mostly because they do not know how to build properly. Sorry if you understood that like something bad.
If all you do is change the internals a little, then I'll be able to have it taken down. If you want to rebuild the entire ship enough for it to be a derivative work, feel free.Sorry i think i can upload the modified version somewhere at internet, and do not worry as i said your name, TM or whathever you want to call it is going to be there, at the end of the day you were the creator, i'm just going to change a little the guts of the ship.
