There is a new server list for StarMade today!

Your first question is probably. “Why another server list?”
The answer to that one is simple, we want to bring more features, more community involvement, and more transparency.
Your next question is probably. “What makes you different?”
The answer to that one is also pretty simple. We’re going to focus entirely on StarMade and bringing in new features that are specific to StarMade. At first it may look as though we’re pretty similar to most other sites, but this is a developing system and many of the planned features are not yet available. We do however have a different approach to rating than many other sites.
Our approach to ranking:
- Servers are polled every 60 seconds for a more accurate view of a servers statistics.
- Votes do not reset monthly, instead they’re on a 30 day rolling period. This means that the votes a server has will likely fluctuate daily instead of just going up and being reset to 0 at the first of the month. We feel this brings more stability to the ratings.
- Uptime cannot be reset, even by paying. We do however offer to waive the downtime in cases like malicious attacks, data-center downtime, and general events outside of a servers control.
- Average peak players are the average of the 3 highest populated hours for each of the last 30 days.
- All of this is combined in a way that requires all 3 parts to get ahead.
- There will be a review system coming soon to give actual ratings and comments about a server.
We do have a working Api that will allow you to get general details of a server as well as interface with the votes and it will also let you see the current status of the server (players/version/etc). If you would like something opened up in the Api, let us know! (Reviews will not be accessible from the Api to keep from having rewarded reviews)
