Starmade.jar could not be removed

I have been suffering from the 100% crash thing for months now and I just keep updating hoping that it has been fixed somehow. I started it up today and suddenly my current installation works again! Unfortunately it's a months old version. When I try to update even after deleting everything Starmade related from my computer, I get a message saying "Starmade.jar cannot be removed. Is it still in use?" I made sure there were no applications running and Starmade does not appear in task manager. Anyone else having this problem?

Open you task manager, go to processes and kill all 'javaw.exe' instances.

Thanks for this, it seemed to work and I managed to completely stop Starmade from running so I could update it. The game appears to be up and running again for the first time in months. Thanks again, very grateful for the help.

I get this error everytime i try to update.
Finally a way to fix this without restarting my laptop
