Hello and welcome to StarMade,
This update finally brings full customization of the keys used in the game. Furthermore, there are now colored hull modules available to make your ship look even more awesome. Also, you can now switch to any docked ship.
Switch to Docked Ships
This new function enables the player to switch back and forth between docked ships. To switch to the ship you are docked to, press 'up' on the keyboard. To switch to any of the ships, that are docked to you, press control+number to switch to it. This gives you some new possibilities: You can build powerful turret like ships to dock on your ship, and quickly change to them if you are in danger.
Rainbows
There are now 7 more modules available in the shop. These are colored versions of the hull. The colors currently available are: black, red, blue, green, yellow, purple, brown, and black. Use them to make your ship look even more awesome.
Keyboard Customization
it's now possible to assign your own keyboard keys for almost every action you can do in StarMade. You can do this on-the-fly in your option menu and the effect will take place immediately. Of course, your assignments are saved, but you can still revert to default by removing the 'keyboard.cfg' file from your StarMade directory.
Build Mode Quick Select
You can now quick select modules in the build mode of structures. Press 'up' to automatically select the core, or use 'left' and 'right' to switch between all controllers on your ship.
Reddit Playdate
There will be a Reddit playdate for StarMade next Saturday, May 26 at 8:00 PM Eastern (EDT). Everyone is invited to come and try out StarMade in Multiplayer. For more information, go to: http://www.reddit.com/r/Playdate/comments/tywly/discussion_starmade_focus_time_saturday_may_26_at/
Other noteworthy changes
More things to come
I'm going to do further work on space stations, but they won't come before the playdate, since they could possibly introduce new bugs. I will also work on the build mode to make it more comfortable to use.
Thanks for playing StarMade,
