I think it would be cool to have a block the was uneffected by being too close to a star. The would let players and fractions build stations close to the sun for extra defense from the star's heat damaging incoming ships, and get players and fractions to build specialised ships to take down these stations. These blocks should be very expensize and hard to make.
And by letting stations and ships near the star another block could be add, a starlight collect/reflector block. When a very large array is build, this could then be used as a star system wide weapon to defend to entire system, working by 'focusing' or projecting the light on one sector of the star system so that it has a similar effect to being to close to the star, but it would far worst. This 'super weapon' would need to be build very large and with a very expensive block such that only a large fraction can build one, to defend there system from enemy fractions.
