With shadows and thruster plumes enabled, I can see a starfield background inside the thruster plume. It is not new to the most recent build, but I haven't normally run with shadows enabled so am not sure when it appeared. As far as I can tell I am not simply seeing through the block, as nothing behind in the field of view (station wall, shop, etc.) is visible against the starfield.

Possibly related, when holding F12 to make glass more visible, a starfield is also rendered on the glass. With shadows disabled the glass appears as a solid color when F12 is used. I think the starfield is being rendered on the block surface, based on distortion.

Last time this happened it was due to render orders being changed. (Stars being visible through display screens, due to the scanline shader being added)
Work was done recently on some shaders so it's possible it's a similar bug.

Have you submitted it to bugs.star-made.org yet?
If you can, providing a screen shot would help.

Some funny admin changed the projectile velocity for hand guns to something below astronaut move speed.

I noticed a star-field in the laser beam too - and that the gfx precedes the impact point.

Done (http://bugs.star-made.org/issues/775). My previous comment about the starfield being rendered on the glass doesn't appear to be the case; if I move around with F12 held down the effect is as if I am just looking through the glass (but again, with no other objects in the line of sight rendered). The starfield does not distort as I move around.

And I also notice now that I did not post this in the Game Support forum as intended... please feel free to move it if more appropriate.
