Star Trek - Starbase 1[Not a 1:1 scale]

This is really the first time posting on here but i've been playing around in StarMade singleplayer for a while and thought I'd finally share something that I've been working on. The images are of an unfinished product and are not made to be specifically like Starbase 1. There are some differences because I decided to make it that way.



I made this about a few months ago, but it has yet to be completed as i've been busy and have also been working on some other projects. This is the first space station i've attempted building, and designed it based on Star Trek's Starbase 1 as seen here: http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Starbase_1



I did not even attempt to make it a 1:1 scale I just built it to a size that I like and was managable for one person that didn't want to spend inordinate amounts of time on it. So without further ado, here are some quick stats for it:



Mass: 0 (Blocks: 169385)

Length: 379; Height: 135; Width: 379

No power or shields atm.

I don\'t have SMedit on my comp at all even lol. Everything made by hand simply by using some symmety planes when it was advantageous to do so, and using mineconics to find the right curves for the sizes filling in empty spaces as they appeared. Nonetheless, i appreciate that you thought it was good even thinking it was an SMedit. Maybe that means its better since it wasn\'t lol.

...but I found the JJ Abrams one more enjoyable to do. I have, however, considered making the earth spacedock, as shown in that image, before just haven\'t gotten around to trying it. I actually think I\'ve seen one floating around somewhere on these forums before though. Exact same look, different name. Deep Space Station E-5. Probably what JJ used as inspiration for Starbase 1 in the movie.
