Bug Spawning on top of my ship when exiting

When ever i exit my ship core with only one block of space (or none) ABOVE the core (even if i have plenty of space in the ship,) it spawns me above the ship (or elsewhere in the ship if it is larger. Is it possible to have the game spawn you in whatever 2 block high space is closest to the core?

would be nice, yes... but for now, just keep 2 blocks square all around your core open :/
