I had sustained massive damage in a pirate surge so I settled down in a derelict station after I killed them all. I dismantled my ship but ran out of inventory. So I placed the storage containers in the station and filled them. I placed my spawn point there. I made a rudimentary skeleton for my new ship outside.
long story short when I reloaded the game I still spawn in the right spot but the station and my ship in the making was there but the stattion and all my stuff had vanished with no trace. also My catalog was wrong as many BP's I deleted were back and any attempt to add new BP's failed. Had to reinstall game.
