Space station vs ship

What are main differences betweens space station and ship?

I mean if I just create huge ship to use it as mobile space station, what do I loose?

Space stations are more reliable with respawning after you die, and can even be turned into an invincible faction homebase if that\'s your thing. And since they can\'t move, you never lose track of it. It\'s exactly what you\'d expect: a stationary base that\'s always there for you. Ships are easier to lose.

Plex undeathinators and plexlift blocks can currently only be put on a station/planet (Factory blocks as well, station or planet).

Aside from that, you can make your station a homebase, something you can\'t do with a ship (makes it indestructible) and it doesn\'t move around, stationary like shops.

Home stations donot take damage nor do the vessels docked to it.

So I just took out all the turrets on a pirate station and I\'m wondering how to get rid of the fraction block so I can loot the place, also I\'m in a singleplayer game?

With any weapon that deals over 100 damage.

You can also use a salvage beam on it.

You coud trow a Kamikaze ship full of explosives at it too.

You need at least 40 cannon blocks linked to a single tip to start making any progress. Overclocking an Isanth IV MIGHT do the trick, but I haven\'t tried this yet. I usually custom make a \"blockbuster\" ship for the task. Be careful, though: there\'s a lot of loot at the bottom of the station. DON\'t trash that area if you can help it.
