Right, have gone through a number of pages and can't see a post like this so apologies if this is an existing idea!
My thoughts are that when wandering around the ship the only noise you get is near the core, which makes sense when it is a new ship, but when you have a separate cockpit or engine room doesn't flow. Therefore I would like to see a sound computer / block added with several default sounds you could place in areas of your ship. i.e.
- Engines sounds, that change at speed
- Beeps and boops (think opening of Star Trek movie)
- Humming Sounds - like the existing ship core.
- Doors opening / closing
You get the idea, my main gripe is that it is meant to be a working / functioning space ship so some sort of background noice whilst you are flying or wandering around would in my view add to the experience.
