Which is the problem I pointed out. I may have pointed it out on an incorrect model, but it still exists.Just like in the torus world model, warping is only visual.
Visual warping will not only affect the planet, but also everything near it. So long as the visual warping is minimal, the effects will not be visible to almost all players. Warping a cube, cylinder or even a flat surface into a sphere will always result in serious distortions.
Unless you also suggest a way to keep visual distortions to a minimum[with optimum being no distortions], I predict it to be unlikely to make it into the game.
