its actually only 250k blocks,and 350x350x150m so its not that big,but i see your concern
and 4 numbers in enough for default since the range is 128 sectors,so even if servers increase the range to 9999 sectors,you can write the destination,but i think i might expand that to 7 numbers or more :p

You could display the 3 coordinates in different places. left right bottom and use one for distance... if you like that (with 7 numbers you would need a lot of space for these numbers)

I respectfully disagree. My meh laptop was able to load in a 700k mass ship without any problems. Surely it would be able to load in a 350 diameter gate! Seriously, the occuling (or whatever it's called) that was added in the last patch does miracles.
So build what fits you. That is what I'm doing on my server. I'm going to make the gates in my network 250m high x 200 wide. If someone wants to use them, they better build to fit!
