i think, after the main game mechanics have been done, a career/story mode should be implemented into it. like certain objectives, more AI(passive and aggresive), more structures, freindly AI e.t.c
To be honest, I don\'t really need objectives per se - just some goals player may strive for - places, items etc. But I wouldn\'t mind much something akin to Minecraft, with it\'s sandbox survival gameplay, but also The End. I must stress though, it\'s not as important for me as having a living world which would provide goals and experiences \'naturally\'.
I\'m not sure if a storyline would be a good idea. Although maybe random quests of some sort that you can get at space stations would be nice. Like \"Go kill these pirates\", \"Go get me these items\" and \"Bring this item to that place\". Maybe even an escorting mission of some sort.
yeh that would be the sort of thing to do. But it would be good to have characters that you get to know, like you start with one guy at a space station, who gives you a small ship, and tells you to go to somewhere else to get parts, the parts person says they are out maybe, and go on that sort of flow.
BUT it would have to be good and flow well to be fun still
