Ok, so I was recently running around in my SUPER ship to test it against pirates, then realized that I my shields were still underpowered and I would die. So in a panic, I ran from the sector that I was in, which had a shop, trying to get away from the pirates. After putting some distance between me and them, I started looking for a new shop to rebuild and upgrade my ship. Unfortunately, after running for quite a while, maybe an hour, I hadn't found a shop. This was strange because I was originally in a sector which had probably around 5 shops. I have only just exited the game, with pirates on my tail that I picked up along the run.
So, what did I do wrong, or is it just a bug? Also, do I need to restart my game? (I didn't get very far anyway)
One last thing, has this happened to anyone else?
