Decide to work on a new shipyard. I still have a good ways to go this is what I came up with today.
The big issue with new stations and shipyards is obviously storage.
In this case the 2 large orange tanks above and below the control room are cargo storage 745,000 volume each.
There are 6 smaller orange storage units between the 12 apartments each holding 103,000 volume.
Other tanks include power and shield yellow being power blue and red being shielding. Obviously more can be added as needed. Figured doing it this way wouldn't look like it was just square blocks.
Currently the docking includes 8 docks that extend to accommodate various size ships. Each dock has 3 doors to allow different means of docking. There is going to be a landing platform connected to the upper area for craft that actually land.
The size of the ship yard is 400 x 100 x 100 approx. I figured it would give a good range of ships nothing to large.
