For purposes of ship mass, due to their reduced volume, wedges and corner pieces should only have the mass of 1/2 and 1/3 of a full block, respecitvely. To prevent this from being used for light armor, though, they should also have their health reduced by the same amount.

Also, the contents of storage containers should be considered in mass calculations. Perhaps .1 or .01 mass per item stored (might not sound like much, but imagine you have 10k+ hulls from raiding a pirate base stored in your ship, and it starts to add up). This would make fast, dedicated supply ships a necessity for transporting goods, as well as escorts for them.

I agree with this. Especially the bit about wedges and corners. It certainly makes more sense mass-wise, rather than having clearly partial blocks such as the wedges and corners weighing in at the same mass a full blocks.

I always found it strange every block in the game has the same mass, except pieces of the planet, which are 10x has heavy anything else. I don\'t know about you, but last time I checked, but I\'m pretty sure pitted, corroded space rock interspased with ice is NOT 10x as dense as a solid piece of steel the same size. In face, the steel should be considerably more dense than the space rock.

I don\'t think anything is more than 0.1 mass currently, even planet stuff (last I tested)
