Ship is lost at every update/ Friend spawns light years away

Problem:1

Everytime their is a new update my entire ship get's lost. I retain all my money and all of my space ship parts, but the entire ship is gone

Problem: 2

My friend can get onto my server, but he always spawns so far away, it's not even worth trying to get to one another. What is the remedy for this?
