Ship builders challenge

I thought it mite be kinda fun to hold some ship builders challenges basically a simple contest to see how many can best attempt the current theme of the challenge. It's not intended to be official or hand pit prizes or anything. this is simply to sharpen our skills at trying to create ships that resemble our perhaps evoke the image of classic or otherwise fondly remembered science fiction stars.

As for the first challenge I thought I would pick some ships from very obscure sources of Sci Fi. Ones very few were either aware existed or otherwise mite be too young to remember in the modern day. this challenges theme centers around an obscure bit of Old school pop culture fantasy film. its probably one you mite have vaguely heard of.

The Last Starfighter

you don't necessarily need to try the ship pictured above but as it is the films iconic star role ship why not start with there. extra point to the one that makes it with working death blossom.

I was also hoping someone mite attempt the flying car as well. but I couldn't find any reference material.

Might give it a shot, seems like some excellent material for a speedbuild, though while it has some good pics of the various angles of the ship, I'd like to know some more about it's weapon systems and size.

the best way to learn about that is to watch the movie. but you tube has a video of exactly what the death blossom is.

but there are other ships in the movie as well if your interested in researching them and attempt building em as well.
