Server spawn station idea

    hi im hoping to find a builder or logic exsperts to help or advice me on a project i plan for my server. the idea is a 5 platform station with an automated transport network. central platform i had idea for a habbitat section being a larger of the platforms. outer platforms i had idea for ship yard and docking areas and an area for factions to advitise there factions for players to join them. as well as having an area for rules. one of the 4 outer platforms was thinking could house the power and shield system like a small industrial area im probaly thinking to hard or coming up with ideas that are to hard to imploment by those unskilled in building like me. all credit will go to the players /builders that help put this project together.

    So you're going to build a large station broken up like this:
    Central portion: habitat area, most likely a dome or series of rooms, containing RP things like cabins, mess room, and control stations.
    Platform 1: Shipyard area/docking for -A- large ship, or else a splitter type platform that splits into two paths, then four, then eight or whatnot until developing into MANY docking bays. This would contain large hangars, USD-1 compliant docking ports extended a long ways out, and/or a large shipyard enclosure for construction/repairs.
    Platform 2: Factory section, may contain ACTUAL factory assemblies or just "heavy machinery"-looking shield and power generation capsules/supplies.
    Platform 3: Faction zone. Advertisements, perhaps a large room with display booths around for factions to set up a representative or something. May also contain additional RP things - like a weapons scanner so nobody starts or continues a faction war.
    Platform 4: Rules/admin office zone. Decorations and info panels reign supreme. Informs people what the rules are, gives people a place to go for admins (if chat is limited in range at any time in development), and gives you a place to show off your impressive decorations skills.

    This might be an interesting build to do. How large would you like it? I have ideas floating around already... couple large rings above and below the four platforms ... containing turrets and such ... USD-1 ports across the station ... large, cylindrical central tower, containing shield blocks, power blocks, and nasty surprises for invaders. Could be quite a decent little station. Unless you want it bigger. At which point... we add more rings, a second level of large "habitation" blocks ... and perhaps docks for AI controlled Station Security Frigates? Perhaps corvette size would be more appropriate, but honestly, if someone's trying to murder the spawn station (or any other, non-indestructible station built on this design), then they mean business, and dangit, I'm not gonna be the designer who doesn't include some epic-looking security "drones" of sufficient size to make these guys think twice... lol.
    For your automatic transport system, just use "turbolifts" - small elevator-like rooms with a teleporter assembly inside. They look cool, take up little space, and honestly, why walk?

    size i dont know as large as it ends up as probaly was hoping to be around size of a cople of the default station im thinking maxing it at 4 sectors in size im still clueless im not a builder but i do see the image your painting with the ideas you put forward sounds alot nicer than the scetch i did of the station. working on updating the scetch at moment hybrid transport system could be used? i can see you understand this alot better than i do. we had ideas when we were talking me and my team when designing the base idea of a network that had transports that moved on a timer for peeps to get around station (tho could back up with controled transports and teleporters)

    hello, if you want to create a station "mother-station" in which all players or "big" alliances have a place to safe store her items, or a public shipyard, i could lend you a hand, perhaps creating a "parking ship" for small ships, and players who want to, there can park their ships and then, with a code, he can retrieve her ships

    well the station is in plan going to be main start point of the server. well thats the plan but the project seems to be seen differnt by some of the staff team i got working on it. think i might put it forward if anyone here intrested in designing and building the station? tho i got plenty of ideas and love new ideas peeps always put onto the table to improve this project.
