Sector Navigation Problem

Hi there, relatively new to Starmade, amazing game by the way, but recently I've run into a bit of a problem which I can only assume to be a bug. I've done a bit of Googling, but nothing turned up.

I've been playing for only two days, and yesterday, everything was working fine.

But today, all of a sudden, waypoints and other markers that cross sectors no longer point properly for me. Instead, when I follow any marker that's not in my current sector, I am teleported to another sector before I can reach it, and end up farther from it.

For instance, I was flying around looking for my ship which I'd left floating in a another sector, and I was quite literally a couple hundred meters from it and had visual confirmation. But getting any closer teleported me to another sector, facing a random direction, with my ship now some odd 500 meters away.

Flying towards sector markers lead me to sectors that are definitely not the ones described. For example, if I'm at sector (-9, -5, -11), and I see a marker for (-9, -4, -11) and head towards it, I will get roughly 500 meters within the marker then suddenly be teleported to (-9, -4, -10). Waypoints are similarly broken.

My only remedy for this has been to follow my friend whose navigation is still working. Clearly something is wrong, because while he flies in a straight line, with me trailing behind 200m or less and maintaining a visual, when he crosses a sector line, he disappears completely. My only remedy is to keep flying straight at where I last saw him. When I too cross the sector line, I can again see him.

Sitting next to my two friends on our computers whilst playing, I can tell you one of my friends does not have this problem (the one mentioned above) while the other also developed this problem today. The two of us that have this navigation issue both have Intel cards; that's the only thing in common that I can fathom would make us both have this issue while the other doesn't. (He has an AMD card).

Thus far, I've tried turning off fullscreen mode, changing my resolution and reinstalling the game. None of that has worked.

I'd usually chalk this up to me being new to a game in heavy alpha, but this is definitely not what people describe navigation as and is definitely not how I was navigating just half a day ago.

Does anyone have any idea what's causing this? And if there is a fix?

    Thanks in advance.

If you haven\'t tried already, update your grpahics card drivers. That should fix it.

They\'re already updated to the latest version. I ran into the Intel crash when I first tried to launch the game.

And I\'m not sure if it\'s Intel, could be any other number of reasons. That\'s just my best speculation with that information I\'ve got.

You\'re in a star system. The sectors are all messed up in those. If you keep flying forward, it should fix it. Sort of.

We\'d claimed a base in the star system, so we were forced to move. But now we\'ve taken up residence in a void system and everything is working fine.

Yeah, the problem with the artificial rotation of star systems needs to be solved.

In my opinion, schema should set the system sector grid to be fixed, and only have entities (like planets) rotating around the star. This should fix navigation related problems...

This means that a planet is always switching sectors, and it needs to be an independent entity, and not a sector.
