the head of black sun is the Underlord and then under him are 9 vigos... heres a rank sheet type thing
Underlord:
The Underlord is the boss, essentially the patriarch, of Black Sun. There is only ever one Underlord at a time and all members of Black Sun defer to him for anything. Generally, the Underlord is aware of everything going on within Black Sun at a time and has eyes and ears everywhere. The Underlord commands the respect of the largest criminal organization in the Galaxy for a very good reason, after all.
Vigo:
Vigo means 'nephew' in Old Tionese; the five Vigos control not only an entire world of Black Sun activity each, but also have a specialty of their own. One Vigo may be an excellent racketeer, another a top smuggler and yet another a professional assassin. Those who become Vigos form an advisory council to the Underlord, and as a group are secretive and influential. To become a Vigo, the other four Vigos and the Underlord must vote the Vigo out of power, or the Vigo must die to have a new replacement appointed - generally, for their skill and cunning, the one who killed them.
Enforcer:
Enforcers are essentially small crime lords in their own right. The best Operatives are promoted to Enforcer for their hard work; their duties for the Vigos can range from special assignments to simple cleanup so that the governments of the Galaxy aren't aware of Black Sun activity. Simple hard work, skill and dedication will get an Operative promoted to Enforcer if they draw the attention of a Vigo or the Underlord. Even an Enforcer is dangerous in their own right with Operatives do do their dirty work for them.
Operative:
Your everyday member of Black Sun is an Operative. The lowest of the low, these are the thugs, the hired muscle, or even the cannon fodder. Always clamoring for a better job, an Operative must give their duties in crime everything they have to be noticed by a superior to have their status passed up the chain of command. Operatives must always prove their worth and stay loyal to their superiors - for Black Sun is not above spacing their own.
Yes, we understand the ranks of the Black Sun Pirates. However in the August Board of Directors meeting, we agreed to have the ranks the same for each faction until we reach 50+ members. Then the ranks will be changed at the leader's will. Good thing we're only a fifth of a way there! Here's the list of ranks below the leaders:
Sergeant (Rank 1): These are the basic foot commanders who walk with their group of soldiers (AI crew members) to assist in land conflict. Be carried by transport or by gunship, and lead your legion to victory! Every new member begins at this rank.
Pilot (Rank 2): Pilots are the most used rank when it comes to land, air, and space. These reliable soldiers can pilot tanks on land, gunships in air, and starfighters and transports in space. Pilots can also work at the cockpit in a capital ship under the orders of a Captain. You must participate in five battles as a sergeant to become a pilot.
Captain (Rank 3): Captains are the boss when you're in a capital ship as a pilot. These soldiers command from the cockpit and strategically advance on the enemies. You can command your ship and fight for your faction! You must participate in ten battles as a pilot to become a captain.
General (Rank 3): Generals are the land commanders in battle. They order the units where to go and what to attack. It is a pilot's and a sergeant's duty to follow their General in land battles. You must either participate in fifteen battles as a sergeant or ten battles as a pilot to become a general.
Admiral (Rank 4): Admirals are the second in command who order captains and generals in their own fleets. There can be a total of five admirals (this may change if member count is up to 30). Each admiral will command one fleet: Fleet Alpha, Fleet Beta, Fleet Delta, Fleet Tango, and Fleet Zulu. All classes will be included in each fleet. You must participate in thirty battles as a captain or a general to become an admiral.
