Hey guys, so this is an idea I think could greatly enhance the game and would outline a new type of playstyle.
Basically, a buff pistol. When you aim it at a block, it shoots a one meter long beam that "Buffs" the block it hits. It increases the block's output and efficiency. Once you spent one second firing at it, it would take a minute for the buff to wear off. So if you shot it at a reactor, it would increase the recharge, if you shot it at a Amc, it would increase the damage, etc. Buffing the core would increase all the ship's systems marginally. Also, if you shot the blocks in certain patterns, that would increase the buff rate. (Also, the meaning of buff is to increase the power of something.)
This is important because if you're trying to charge a small core, it takes ages to charge it. So having the option to both charge it and buff it might make it a little less tedious.
Also, you could have AI crew members and players run around your ship and buff the ship's systems, giving you a slight boost and let people roleplay and stuff. That would be pretty great.
