    like for example is .32 better then 1.04 or vice versa?

    The number is the quantity of seconds a single beam takes to remove a block. Lower is generally better in this case.

    Take the number when you have 10 salvage, then when you have 20. If the first is less than the second, higher is better. If the latter is lesser, then lesser is better.

    at 1 block, the value is 7, which is 1 block every 7 seconds.

    at 100 blocks, the value is ~ .02, which is 1 block of every two hundreths of a second, or 50 blocks a second.

    lower=better
