    It doesnt seem fair that if someone has all the shields in the world, a faction module, and anything else people could put on a ship. that when someone comes up while your offline they can salvage it.



    Suggestion:

    Make it so you can only salvage a ship if

    A: the shields are down

    or

    B: if the core is overloaded



    B would work well if you made it so you couldnt salvage it with faction modules untill its going to blow.

    this should go the same for space stations

    I do agree that you should not be able to salvage ships with shields on them. Then instead people would need to go and destroy the shields.

    EDIT:But it should take away the shield health. Just like guns.

    completely agree here

    ships and stations should be invulnerable to salvage beams till shiels are gone or is overloading. this would prevent griefing.

    ive seen players on servers imedietly start salvaging large ships once the pilot logs/gets out for some reason. this is usually followed by caps lock chat ranting.

    I also made a Post about this exact same things. But there is a way around the salvage problem, and that is to put an AI BOBBY on the ship and have it in Turret mode and active.. Means u need to kill the AI first.

    you can use ai modules but the problem with them is that the faction has to be set to declare war on hostile action or already have war declared for them to defend it. if not then another player can still salvage the ship without agression from the turrets. also salvage beams currently do not count as hostile actions
