Hi Wade here from the former Wade Made enterprises. Unfortunatly my workers thought I should be paying them and put my in a cryo tube and I woke up near Sagittarius A. Lucky for me a ship stoped and scooped me up. I am now working with the wonderful "people" at Sagittarius A 1 Industries who helped me get me on my feet by letting me design a ship and selling blue prints for it. So here is my first ship in the Sagittarius A line up, it is a Corvette Heavy. I must come up with more designs to pay for my rescue and gratitude for landing a "Job".

Sagittarius A Heavy Corvette stats are:

    Mass 1,369.7 (Blocks 13,697)
    Thrust 1,461.6
    Length 60m, Height 16m, Width 26m
    Power 401,044.6 e/sec
    Shields 124,975.0 (3,671 s/sec)

    4 x AMCs each doing 499.0 damage

3 x AMC Cluster Turrets (each turret contains 13 AMCs). The turrets also can double as AI ships since they also contain thrusters. On the back of each turret are 3 lights marking the controls for the turrets. Green = Weapons Computer, Red = Bobby AI, Blue = Faction Modual

4 x cryo storage rooms, each room contains 2 cryo pods and each pod can hold 2 life forms making a total of 16.

    5 x cockpits

    72 plex storage containers

You\'ve really stepped up your game and that\'s awesome. I will offer a bit of advice. I noticed this issue in some of your contest entries, too: It\'s not usually a good idea to put your core right on the front of your ship like that. A single missile strike to the nose of your ship (that\'s the part facing towards th bad guys) will cripple it.

I originally had the core more to the center but found it hard to see where you were going if the cockpits were destroyed so I have been trying to figure out a work around for it I thought maybe having the glass thick enough it would off set that a bit the glass is I think 5 or 6 blocks thick hoping that would help off set that

They are kind of delicate. I find it helpful to place them in different spots along the front of the ship, like one on the nose, top, sides, and bottom. Don\'t forget that you can hold shift and roll your mouse wheel back to zoome out of your ship and go into, effectively, 3rd person mode, if all else fails.

not too sure where to ask this so I will just ask here to keep clutter down I am reworking my ship to incorperate MisterVec\'s suggestions and I thought I would make it so in one or 2 of the rooms making little escape pods but when I installed a docking modual, (I tried both the red and green moduals), and it appears I need to put the roof of the room 11 blocks high so I have 10 blocks for the rooms inside height.

My question is, has it always been that way? seems very limited on what you can have for dimentions for a ship. The length and width seem a little more forgiving for it bught the height is so limited. I have never tried doing this on the inside of a ship before so I have no idea if it has always been this way or if should wait for an update, or what? the biggest I wll be making an escape pod is 4x4x4 will probly be more like 3x3x4, 3 wide, 3 high and 4 long

The last big update broke the docking system. Schema\'s working on fixing it now. I\'m actually holding off on my own shipbuilding until it gets fixed. :(

ok no worries ty for the quick response :) I should get some graph paper and do some designing in the mean time, I have been building on the fly but takes alot of work reworking a ship that way if 1/2 way through i find an error I did close tot he begining of the build lol. I might try an earlier build and see if i can keep working. Schema is busting his ass as it is. i remember when I would do coding on my apple IIe compatible puter and in visual basic 6 on pc I do not envy him one bit but I do understand how one little thing is very hard to track down and can domino very easy. That is why I will never complain about limitations or bugs in a game of any kind lol

This previous build seems to be very stable and the turret box only need to be 7 blocks high which is more workable

After takeing MisterVec\'s advice we at Sagittarius A 1 came up with this rebuild. It is a little wider and a little longer but alot faster and a bit more powerful. The main thing, it is alot more armored and the core is alot more protected. It took alot of head scratching and long nights to fit the escape pod bays in but we did it!

Sagittarius A Heavy Corvette Final Build stats are:

    Mass 1,838.2 (Blocks 18,382)
    Thrust 2,368.9
    Length 69m, Height 16m, Width 34m
    Power 358,377.1 e/sec
    Shields 128,025.0 (3,735 s/sec)

    4 x AMCs each doing 524.6 damage

3 x AMC Cluster Turrets (each turret contains 13 AMCs). The turrets also can double as AI ships since they also contain thrusters. On the back of each turret are 3 lights marking the controls for the turrets. Green = Weapons Computer, Red = Bobby AI, Blue = Faction Modual

4 x Escape Pod Bays ( The bays can be adapted to what ever your needs maybe)

    5 x cockpits

    72 plex storage containers

Might I also suggest that... you can alternatively place multiple cockpits in a row as well to give some security against someone shooting out the one in front. although missiles would still break most of them but it works pretty well against AMC fire.
