All that talk of space station contests, ship and station wreckage used for space dungeons, and my own curiosity made me want to ask: Can you provide recommendations for large ships with detailed interiors to explore?

I'm having a lot of fun exploring the interior of one of the Star Trek Enterprise refit builds (TMP NCC-1701) while I look for building concepts and techniques. In addition to learning how to build, it's just a whole lot of fun to switch on the gravity and just run around finding areas and details.

The computer I play on is getting long in the tooth, so I'd prefer recommendations for ships that weren't larger than 300 m on a side.

I guess the OP searches for ships with cool interiors to visit, not the room list ;)

Yes, I've seen that room list thread before. Fascinating stuff. We need a new narrow yellow/brass hanging light block to serve for stripper poles, I think.

But in all seriousness, I was fascinated when I read in yet another thread of players getting lost inside large ships. It would be fun to get lost in a spaceship on purpose. At least for me, it would.

The next ship I plan to visit: The Star Wars CR90 Corvette. I want to see if the builder made the bright white corridors with dark side-corridors. "Commander, tear this ship apart until you’ve found those plans. And bring me the passengers, I want them alive!” Then after that, there's about half-a-dozen Star Trek Miranda variants that I am curious to see. I'm especially curious about the TOS version. Shiny.

Check out @Sven_The_Slayer's MAMMOTH. His ships are all incredibly well thought out and he pays close attention to detail and utility. Unfortunately, they are slightly out of date in terms of systems but may still suit your interior exploration needs.

Oh and don't forget to check out all the M.A.M.M.s you can add to the MAMMOTH.
