For some reason this is still in the game after the HUD update. Fading nav markers with range makes them hard to see. We'd be better off with no graphical indication of range whatsoever.
Instead of fading, I suggest reducing nav markers from full to half size as they approach the edge of sensor range. Even if you could see the faded-out markers clearly, reducing their size is more natural and easier for the human eye to interpret.
