I think it would be useful if it were possible to create remote controlled vehicles, that don't require you to get out of your main ship in order to control them, this would add the possibilites of building:

Attack/Spy/Fighter drones, probes, cruise missiles, logistics/cargo shuttles, mining drones, repair drones, etc..

So there could be a few types of blocks/entities:

    • -Drone Core, which classifies the ship as a remote controlled vehicle.
    • -Drone Uplink Enchancer, which increases the maximum control range of the remote vehicle, can be connected either to the mothership, to the drone or both.
    • -Remote Control System, a block that is placed on the manned ship in order to allow the control of remote vehicles.
    • -Drone Docking & Synchronizing ports and Drone Docking Enchancers, similar to the docking ports only that they're for remote vehicles and are only usable with them.

Remote vehicles can be directly controlled by entering them, in order to dock them with their mothership, their docking beams only work with drone docking ports.

For choosing which remote vehicle to control, there could be arrow keys to cycle between, or perhaps numpad keys or maybe a custom GUI for controlling and managing your remote vehicles.

Remote vehicles would have a limited range, when nearing the limit you get a warning, once they're out of range you lose control of them and you can retrieve them by getting close to them and picking them up manually.

In addition, there could be additional guidance/launch options for your Remote Control Center, when you don't want to manually control your drone, these could be combined with binding in the weapons menu. You can still assume direct control after the launch.

    • Launch straight - this undocks your remote vehicle and applies full thrust.
    • Launch towards crosshairs - this undocks the vehicle, applies full thrust and steers it towards your crosshair aim.
    • Heat seeking - self explanatory.
    • Target guided - steers towards your main ship's target.
    • Undock - this undocks your remote vehicle, applies thrust for some seconds and stops about 50-200m from your ship.

Speed and steering would depend on the actual ship performance, so tracking fast targets might fail.

In addition, having extra types of explosives would be useful for custom missiles(EM,Kinetic last,Thermal,Explosive blast) with different effects, along with a custom detonator (impact or proximity guidance/manual trigger)

there is a block called Bobby AI, its very basic but does what it can. its mainly used for stations & battleships with turrets.
