Remote activation block

I just saw the experimental ship from the video above, and it got me thinking. It would be cool if there were a way for a ship to link up with a space station so you could activate specific systems from the outside (like a pulse weapon for super fast travel).

That way we could have make-shift mass relays that could be operated by a single person, and who knows what other inventions could turn up in the future that would benefit from such a block.

I was thinking maybe an activation beam, hit the activation blocks on the other structure.

Don't docking beams trigger logic blocks?

I was going to start a topic but since this is already close.

Remote activation beam computer block
-Is directional as in can face a direction
-Fires a 0.5 second beam when hit with a logic on pulse
-Passes through the entity it is mounted on like power supply beams
-Hits the first other block in LOS only effects actuator block
-All it does is flip an activator block if its of the same faction or non faction permission block is next to it or not factioned
-It doesn't aim that's the responsibility of the designer/player
