the recycler is a machine made in the standard factory. it can destroy every craftable block into raw materials. you will not gain everything from the blocks you destroy... depending on the recycler you use, you can get almost 90% of the materials back.
now the machines:

basic recycler:
40% material recovery
crafting: 1 basic factory, 10 alloyed metal mesh, 20 crystal composite

standard recycler:
60% material recovery
crafting: 1 basic recycler, 20 alloyed metal mesh, 40 crystal composite

advanced recycler:
90% material recovery
crafting: 1 standard recycler, 40 alloyed metal mesh, 80 crystal composite

I think the standard should be made with 5000 of both parsun and parstun, and the advanced should be made with 100000 of both rammet and sertise. Otherwise there would be no reason to have the previous versions, and it would also be an investment to have something give 90% refund value.

Otherwise, I love this Idea.

90% recovery? Whew, that sure sounds game-breaking. Maybe 90% for the rare stuff that only appears on outer-most asteroids that hardly ever spawn.

I think a single recycler, with 50% efficiency (rounding up to 100% for things with only one of an ingredient) would be best.

IIRC, there's code for a recycler already in the game, but it doesn't do anything currently.

There is a recycler block. There isn't any code for it.
BTW, I tried making a mod for it and went with 20% recovery of crystals, ores, mesh, and circuits, and 500:1 conversion of terrain into dirt.
