I was thinking:
Perhaps to keep this game more lively we should have things like wreckages of ships ranging from fighters with small loot in them ranging to large warships that you can loot around and gather fairly well loot for selling.
Also maybe things like different types of random spawning stations and pirate ones. Pirate bases that send out fighters would be cool as well.
Convoys with escorts that can be raided if your brave enough. A large cargo ship (Or more that 1) are being escorted by fighters and light cruisers (maybe heavier depending on loot) and if confronted they would shoot back.
Shop docks *Shops where you dock inside a large station and then when you land there is a shop room with buyer blocks which would open the buy menu. There could also be a NPC lounge that you can have some NPCs who may either give a deal on certain ship blocks or special premium ones. Also some could challange you to pirate killing and you would compete by killing pirates*
Pirate capital ships. Large large large ships that are enemies to you. *Possibly with turrets* Pretty much a more dangerous mobile pirate station
