Radar Jammerly Challanged

So I watched a bunch of videos about setting up the Radar Jammer. The wiki was really helpful with the equations and the proper way to setup enough power, that I am able to run the Radar Jammer non-stop.

Interestingly enough, I thought this Radar Jammer was also suppose to jam other ships in the area? Just as soon as I changed sectors, my radar is flooded with pirates way over 2000 away, and they are all bailing towards me. I checked my Radar Jammer, it's still on and appears green with plenty of power. I wonder if I bought a defective model? :D

The radar jammer only makes it so your ship does\'t have that diamond at the core. It is best used with a cloaking system to hide yourself completetly.

So I played with the numbers until I could figure that 4 x 33 chained power reactors outputing 33,472 e/s. That gives me 89 squares to build with including my core with both Cloak and Jammer working infinately.

So I put together my science lab... not very cozy - just the essentials.



Unfortunately, it\'s a little top heavy. :P I placed a landing camera to help during planetary expeditions.



.... so... serious? All that to keep my science projects under wraps... eh? I wonder if I could cloak a planet. :D



Well in any case. After landing successfully on the planet, I didn\'t have enough thrusters on board to take off.

To avoid detection from pirates all you need is cloak.

Radar Jammer is for PvP.

Jammer also works on turrets, I think.

for ai all you need to do is cloak, radar jamming wont do anything

You can use jammers to not get shot by enemy AI turrets
