    1. what are all the ways to trigger pirates to spawn?
    2. how dose pirate loot work?

    They spawn on their own over time randomly assuming there are blueprints set to Enemy Usable in the Catalog. Also you can shoot pirate stations to make them spawn as well.

    Not sure on the loot part but causing them to overheat does make them drop loot.

    Also if you want to expand your selection of enemies to fight against just look up ZimmTech on the forums. They had a competition recently to try and make some more up to date enemies.

    1. They should spawn randomly but that is currently not functioning same for trade fleets.
    You would get a message saying hostile sighted and then they spawned.

    They should spawn when your near a pirate station and shoot it. A call for help goes out.

    They currently spawn each other wave after wave on a countdown that does not stop until every
    pirate entity is dead including the odd shot off turret. This is a massive strain on servers. Please
    add an option to have pirates spawn but not counter spawn.

    They should spawn less in claimed systems and more in unclaimed systems. Currently they don't
    spawn at all randomly.

    If your base is near a pirate station. That station should send regular waves at you currently not
    functioning.

    They spawn as a static none moving fleet in the astroids fields. They attack if you get to close.
    This currently works on just a handfull of servers. Why it works on some and not on others i do
    not know.

    2. Pirate loot drops from a shot pirate core or drops from shot chests on pirate ships. Add more chests
    to get bigger coulds of stuff. There is also a server setting on how big the dropped stacks are.
