Question: Why missle swarm go through ships?

This been ticking me off a while... And wondering why this haven't been fixed yet.

Why missle swarms are able to go through ships and kill players? Just why?

I want them to hit the ship and not just magically clip through the ships and kill everyone. Doesn't make any sense.

Maybe I'm missing something but can someone tell me why?
