Question about scanner antennas

Is there a specific way to place scanning antennas to increase efficiency, say something similar to placing power reactors? I placed a long line of antennas in my ship, and while I get a message that there is something cloaked in the sector, it tells me the scanning system isn't powerful enough to reveal the cloaks object.

scanning is a bit bugged atm, it gives that message even in single player when nothing's around you.

i believe that having larger scanner groups in order to detect larger targets is a planned feature, unless its already in its been a while since i toyed around with scanners. Currently adding more scanners decreases the time it takes for the scanner to recharge.
